Betty Jo Burns, 79 of Harlan, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born to the late Alonzo York, Sr. and Opal Sandlin York on October 24, 1940.
Ms. Burns is preceded in death by her Parents and a Brother, Larry York.
Betty Jo is survived by her loving Son, Robbie Burns and Wife Teana of Harlan; Brothers, Steve York of Harlan and Alonzo York, Jr. of Crystal River, FL; Sister, Judy York of Ashland; Grandson, Corey Burns and Wife Sarah Beth of Danville; Special Friend, Jerri Hobbs; A host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends also mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 5PM to 7PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 7PM with Alonzo York, Jr. officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11AM at Resthaven Cemetery. If you would like to go in Procession with the family, please meet at the Funeral Home by 10:30AM. Pallbearers will be Mike Farley, Frank Goshen and Scott Saylor.
