Billie Smith, age 89 of Dayhoit, passed away Saturday December 14, 2019 at Continue Care Hospital in Corbin. She was born May 14, 1930 to the late Denver and Louise Simpson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, children Gary Shaffer, David Shaffer, Michael Sysko, Karen Shaffer, Misty Sysko, brother Robert Simpson, sisters Bobbie Stephens, Wanda Hunt, Georgia Simpson, Burma Gail Blanton, Jimmie Skidmore, Janice Staggs and granddaughter Heather Shaffer
She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Olivia Greene and husband David, Nephew Ellis Miracle and wife Carla and granddaughter Susan Shaffer, Special Nephew Jim Stephens.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 18, 2019 from 1 to 2 PM with funeral following at 2 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family Cemetery in Coldiron with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
