Danny "Boone" McClain Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Danny “Boone” McClain, 73 of Cawood, passed away December 28, 2020 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born to the late Mary Estelle Jones on October 3, 1947. He loved to go fishing. Mr. McClain is preceded in death by his Mother; Brothers, John Paul McClain and David Boy Helton; Sister, Mary Alice Helton Blanton; Niece, Patsy Blanton and Daughter In Law, Debbie McClain. Boone is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Soffie McClain; Sons, Danny Ray McClain JR. and Chris McClain and Wife Krystal; Grandsons, Dalton, Chase "Goober" and Chris “Junior” McClain; Brother, Arnold Wayne Helton; Sister, Betty Swanson and Husband Gene; Special Nephews, Lance and Alex Hensley; Several Nieces and Nephews also mourn his passing. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 11AM to 1PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1PM also in the Chapel with Aaron Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellen Rogers Grubbs Cemetery in Cawood with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Due to the mandate set forth by the governor of Kentucky, attendees must wear a mask at all times, practice social distancing and only 50% of our capacity is allowed.
