Delores Lawson

May 17, 1942 - February 24, 2022

Delores Lawson, age 79, of Wallins, KY, passed away on February 24, 2022, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles Howard and Nannie Wilson Howard; sisters Opal Burgan, Loretta Berrman, Shirley Howard, and brothers, Ken Howard, Ray Howard, Homer Howard, and Reed Howard. For over 20 years, she worked in healthcare as an LPN. Left to mourn her passing are her son Harold Godsey; daughters Debbie Nicley and special son-in-law Dwayne, Lora Godsey, April Lane and husband Greg; brother Robert Howard and wife Linda; sisters Clara Tarvadis and Sally Rhodes. Ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren also survive. Visitation for Mrs. Delores Lawson will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 6 PM until 9 PM in the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home Chapel. On Sunday, February 27, 2022, funeral services will be held at 2 PM with Pastor Frank Shope officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 10 AM at the Evarts Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
