Donald Ray Rowe, age 63, of Baxter, KY passed away January 22, 2014 at his home following a long illness. He was born July 31, 1950 in Harlan, KY to the late Paul and Cordia Rowe. He was a retired welder from Pennington Steel Co. and believed in the Church of Christ faith.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his stepson, Wesley Crider; son, Bobby Rowe; brothers, Billy Thompson and Melvin Rowe and sisters Faye Suttles and Bobbie Saylor.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Francine Rowe, of Baxter, KY; stepchildren: Barbara (Frank) Joseph of Stinnett, KY, Christina (Jeremy) Smith of Grays Knob, KY, Burton Crider of Baxter, KY, Anita Crider of Harlan, KY, Marty (Rhonda) Crider of Lynch, KY, Tracy (Ashley) Crider of Baxter, KY, and Scotty (Rebecca) Crider of Harlan, KY; brothers: Jack (Bonnie) Rowe of Fort Knox, KY, Walter Rowe of Georgia, Henry Kennedy of Ages, KY, Terry Rowe of Frankfort, KY, and L.B. Kennedy of Frankfort, KY and sister, Louise Schraeder of Frankfort, KY; 25 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; special friends: Johnny O’Rourke, Walter Mitchell, Charlie Austin, Fidel Morales, Dr. Dahan and Dr. Raza.
Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2014 from 5 to 9PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Lee Sergent officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
