Franklin D. Maggard

Franklin D. Maggard, age 78, of Putney, KY went home to be with the Lord Nov. 5 following a courageous battle with cancer. The son of Reuben Maggard and Rebecca Williams, he was a member of the Totz Church of God. Frank retired from Gaines Lumber Co. and enjoyed junking, gardening, and riding his four-wheeler.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Wilma, two stepchildren, Glen (Oaklee) Perkins of Dayhoit and Ruth (Charles) Drew of Catrons Creek, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a brother, Lee Maggard of TN, sister, Mary Turner, of Corbin, KY, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 7 from 4 to 6PM at the Totz Church of God, Totz, KY. Funeral will follow at 6PM at the church with the Rev. Mark Turner officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11AM at the Brock Cemetery, Putney, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
