Georgia Vickie Allen

Georgia Victoria “Vickie” Allen, age 72, of Harlan passed away July 1, 2015 at the Claiborne Co. Medical Center following a long illness. She was born Feb. 5, 1943 to the late Edward Houston and Sarah Helen Cameron Peace. She was retired from Mountain Comprehensive Care. She volunteered for 15 years with Christ’s Hands.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and granddaughter, Stephanie Thomas Fultz.

Survivors include children, Joel Allen of Lynch, Jonathan Dale (Tiffany) of Crummies, Ruby Elayne (Marcus) Walters of Wallins, Lisa Wilder (Elijah Gregory) of East Bernstadt, Zena (Chester) Thomas of Sunshine and Rachel (Tim) Lewis of New Tazewell, TN, Brother, Glen Peace of Mt. Joliet, IL, sisters, Lois Arvin of Springfield, OH, Lucille Peace and Mary Caldwell both of Harlan, very special friend, Kevin Doan of Harlan, 16 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, July 3 from 9 to 11am at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11am in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Pastor Joe Howard officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery with sons and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
