James William Gregory, Jr., 55, of Lancaster, the husband of Tracy Asbury Gregory, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
He was born January 23, 1959, in Harlan County, to Retha Saylor Gregory Joseph and the late James William Gregory, Sr. He had served in the U. S. Navy and was of the Holiness faith.
In addition to his mother, Retha, and his wife, Tracy, James is survived by one daughter, Jamie Nicole Asbury Gregory of Lancaster; one son, Bryan Isiah Gregory of Lancaster; two step-sons, Jason Deaton and Bobby Lee Deaton, both of Lancaster; two brothers, John Henry Gregory of London and Elijah Gregory of Lancaster; two sisters, Cathy Asbury and Sherry Gregory, both of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2013, at the home of his uncle at 37 Sycamore Drive, Wallins, Kentucky in Harlan County. Graveside services and burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2014, at the Simpson Cemetery, in Wallins, Kentucky.
Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, Richmond, is in charge of arrangements.
Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of graveside service.
