Joanne C. Miniard

Joanne Miniard, age 66, of Bledsoe, KY passed away October 21, 2014 at her home following a long illness. She was born April 9, 1948 in Rose Hill, VA to the late Frank and Emily Hazel Surgener Couch. She worked for Kentucky Farm Bureau as a program coordinator and county secretary for 25 years and also worked at the Harlan Daily Enterprise. She volunteered with Christ Hands and Cedar Chapel. She was a member of the Little Laurel Bible Church. Joanne was loved by many friends, family, and members of her community.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Don Miniard of Bledsoe, KY; one son, Jeff (Bridgett) Miniard of Crestwood, KY; daughters, Melissia (Keith) Taylor of Middlesboro, KY and Amy (Adam) Brake of Simpsonville, KY; sister, Letha Gross of Ages, KY, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 23 from 5 to 8PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 8PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with the Pastor Nathan Boggs officiating. Burial will be Friday, October 24 at 12:00PM at the Miniard Cemetery, Abner Branch, KY. Pallbearers will be Keith Taylor, Adam Brake, Cameron Sizemore, Garrett Miniard, Jordy Miniard Brewer, and Dustin Miniard.
