John Anthony Boggs

John Anthony Boggs, age 41, of Harlan, KY passed away August 6, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, KY. He was born November 24, 1973 in Harlan, KY to Marie Boggs and Michael Ray Boggs of Bledsoe, KY. He was a retired surface miner and believed in the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division.

In addition to his parents, survivors include, fiancé Crystal Sutton of Harlan, children, Michael Boggs, Lydia Marie Boggs and Lindsey Boggs all of Bowling Green, grandson, Cayden Boggs of Bowling Green, brothers, Brent (Paula) Johnson of Baxter, Wesley (Christy) Boggs of Baxter, and Dave (Beverly) Moore of Georgetown, IN, sister, Angela (Jim) Gross of London, KY.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 8 from 5 to 7pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 7pm in the chapel of Mount Pleasant. Burial will be Sunday, August 9 at 4PM at the Scearse Cemetery, Bledsoe, KY with David Wilburn and the Harlan County Honor Guard serving as pallbearers. Military Rites performed by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
