Kerry Gavin Martin

Kerry G. Martin, age 64, of Baxter entered Heaven’s eternal gates on May 22, 2017 after a long illness. Kerry was a US Army Veteran, a member of the Harlan County Honor Guard, an elder in the Harlan Christian Church, a member of the Nolan Lodge F&AM, a faithful volunteer at Christs Hands and an active member of Higher Ground, a group he loved and enjoyed. Kerry is preceded in death by his parents Elmer Martin and Kathryn McKendrick Martin; Grandparents, Amy and Charlie McKendrick and a brother, Gary Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife, Loretta Martin; Son, Jonathan Haynes; Daughter, Amanda (Steven) Dobey; Grandson, James Dobey; Brother, Jerry (Janice) Martin of Bayrd, Nebraska; Sister in Law, Pat Martin; One Niece, Two nephews, and a host of friends also mourn his passing Visitation will be Friday May 26, 2017 from 5PM to 7PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Funeral Services following at 7PM.
