Mr. Leslie Whitehead, Sr.

Mr. Leslie Whitehead Sr., age 88, of Bledsoe, KY passed away on May 4, 2016 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was a retired Truck Driver and Logger.
Mr. Whitehead is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Purlina Whitehead, six brothers; Jim Gross, Charlie Gross, Alfred Gross, Morgan Gross, Wilkes D. Gross and Elzie Whitehead. Three Sisters; Hettie Lamas, Naomi Whitehead and Ellen Gross. Two Sons; Kyle and Freddie Whitehead. One Daughter in Law Evelyn Jean Whitehead.
Leslie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rosie Whitehead. Seven Sons; Lester and Rhonda Whitehead of London, Ky, Leslie Whitehead Jr. of Bledsoe, Carl and Tammy Whitehead of Bledsoe, Ronnie and Maegan Whitehead of Bledsoe, Walden and Natasia Whitehead of Bledsoe, Carson and Tina Whitehead of Bledsoe and Gary Whitehead of Bledsoe. Six Daughters; Carolyn and Johnny Lewis of Bledsoe, Debbie and Ray Saylor of London, Ky, Maxine and Jesse Welch of Georgia, Rolema Morgan of Flordia, Cindy and Mark Messer of Bledsoe and Patsy Smith of London, KY. Also surviving is one Brother, Stevie Whitehead of Michigan. Two sisters, Anna Helton and Ruby Seeney both of Delaware. 22 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 11AM Friday, May 6, 2016 at Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church in Bledsoe and will continue until the Funeral hour. The Funeral will begin at 1 PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the church. Herstel Belcher will be officiating. Burial will follow at Whitehead Cemetery in Spruce Pine Hollow. Sons and Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
