Linda Gail Burns Lankford

Linda Lankford, age 53, of Bledsoe, KY passed away August 8, 2014 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, KY. She was born September 15, 1960 in Chicago, IL to Willis and Patricia Patterson Burns of Bledsoe, KY. She was a retired school teacher with KCEOC and baptized in the Pentecostal faith. She loved family, cooking, crafts, spending time at her lake house. She also loved teaching small children.
She is preceded in death by brother, Bobby Burns, niece, Rachel Burns, grandparents, Lydia Caldwell Pace, Dallie Vanover Patterson, David Monroe Patterson, and Adrian Burns.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew “Lonnie” Lankford, parents, Willis and Patricia Burns, sons, Albert Lankford, wife Darlene Coots Lankford, of Yeaddis, KY and Lonnie Dale Lankford, wife Tracy Napier Lankford of Bledsoe; grandsons, Brodie Drake Lankford, Ronald Bowling, and Raylan Cole Lankford; great grandchild, Kaylei Bowling; brother, Daniel Burns and wife Pamela, niece, Katherine Burns, nephew, Gabe Burns all of Lexington, KY.
Visitation will be Monday, August 11 from 5 to 9PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, August 12 at 1PM with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Brother Billy Adams officiating. Burial will be at the Burns Cemetery, Bledsoe, KY with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
