Lucille Bargo, age 90 of Cranks, KY went home to be with the Lord and her loved ones on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY with her daughters and a granddaughter by her side.
Lucille was born December 25, 1926 to the late Jess and Clara Dodd. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and believed in the Baptist faith. In her earlier years, she taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was director of the Junior Choir at Pansy Baptist Church. She was a member of the Harlan County Homemakers Club (Mary Alice Chapter) and the Harlan Quilting Club. Her hobbies included baking, sewing, and playing the piano. She took pride in hosting every holiday at her home with all her family.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dellno Bargo; her son, Roger Dell Bargo; two grandsons, Troy Bargo and Dewayne Jackson; 3 sisters, Alene, Dorris and Ann; 3 brothers, Houston, Arthur Jr. and Ray.
Left to mourn her passing are her two daughters, Katherine Sue Noe and husband Danny and Darlene Jackson and husband Roy Dan of Cranks; a daughter-in-law, Johnnie Bargo of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Debbie Harris (Charles), Marie Bargo, Rocky Noe (Kellie), Stacy Noe (Sue), Ronnie Jackson (Tammy), Tabatha Johnson (Brett) and Darla Jackson. Her great grandchildren, Eric and Roger Bargo, Josh Hatfield (Sarah), Holly and Carlie Hatfield, Matt Noe (Caitlynn), Chelsey Noe, Holden Jackson, Makenna Jackson, Kennedy Thompson and Brett Wes Johnson. A great, great grandson, Talon Michael Hatfield. Special friend and caregiver, Diane Middleton, special caregiver Barbara Green, and all her friends at the beauty shop.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church. The funeral will immediately follow beginning at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Craig, Sr. and the Rev. Gary Craig, Jr. officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Day-Jackson Cemetery with her grandsons, great grandsons and friends of the family serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be John (Tater) Dodd and the men of Friendship Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Marlowe and the staff at Harlan ARH, The Hospice Care Center in Hazard, and Jim Garrett of Hospice in Harlan.
