Margaret Ann Harris Smith
Margaret Smith, age 66, of Wallins, KY went to be with the Lord with her family by her side January 23, 2014 in Johnson City, TN. She was born September 9, 1947 in Kingsport, TN to the late Acree Harris Sr. and Polly Turner Harris. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Church of God of the Free People.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters: Betty Sue Smith and Ruth Rich; brothers: James, Juno, and David Harris and nephews: Jamie Harris and Eugene Smith.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 43 years, Kelly Smith, Jr. of Wallins, KY, her son Tad and wife, Valerie, and grandchildren: Mary Beth, Lindsey, Kelsey Smith of Wallins, KY; daughter Kim and husband, Sillis Thompson of Evarts, KY and grandchildren: Dustin and Tabitha Fournier of Wallins, KY, several nieces and nephews, and special friends Beulah Maggard and Shirlene Gross.
Visitation will be at Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home from 4 to 7pm. Funeral will follow at 7PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Reverends Obie Clark and Wendell Jones officiating. Graveside service will be Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11AM at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
