Melinda ‘Gail’ Couch, 48 of Cawood, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on February 12, 1971 to Hubert Grubbs and Linda Allen. Mrs. Couch is preceded in death by her Son, Cody Skidmore; Brother, Hubert “Bub” Grubbs; Mom, Thelma Lucas. Gail is survived by her loving Husband, Steven Couch; Children, Caleb Skidmore, Taylor Clem, Jeremiah Clem II, Tamyra Couch, Candice Couch and Kala Couch; Grandchildren, Isabella Lewis, Zara Shepherd and Rozlyn Caffey; Father, Hubert Grubbs and wife Martha; Mother, Linda and Jack Allen; Dad, Frank Lucas Jr.; Brother, Frank Allen; Brother, Tony Irvin; Sisters, Thelma Caldwell and Husband Chris and Jennifer Grubbs and Husband Neal. Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 5PM to 7PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, August 19, 2019 at 11AM also in the Chapel. Burial will follow at the Irvin Cemetery in Little Creek with Caleb Skidmore, Frank Allen, Gary Shepherd, Eric Clem, Beau Allen, Jeremiah Clem II and Luke Caldwell serving as pallbearers.
