Mercedes Daniel Durham Chadwick, age 83 went to her heavenly home early Friday, June 17, 2016.
Mercedes was loved by many and will be sorely missed. She belonged to the Wallins Baptist Church for many years and worked at the James A. Cawood High School Cafeteria for more than 20 years.
Mercedes was born, December 10, 1932 to the late Roy and Sarah Daniel and was the second child and oldest daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Nelson Durham and Bill Chadwick, daughter; Maryann and her husband Gerald Hoskins, brothers; Ed Daniel, Leroy Daniel and Charles Daniel, sisters; Sarah Gilliam, Evelyn Stratton, Deliah Daukas and Buelah Ward.
She is survived by her children; Debra Shackleford and Tony Durham both of Wallins, KY, Rhonda Blevins of Kenton, OH, Donovan Chadwick of Argentina. Grandchildren; Rebecca Stanley, Hannah, Chase, Peyton and Shea Durham, Tyler and Hailey Blevins, Shania and Logan Chadwick, Chelsea, Nathan, and Danya Hoskins and several great grandchildren. A brother Will Daniel of Wallins, KY and sisters; Virginia Connolly, Doris McCarter, Betty Jo Blanton, Barbara Osborne all from Ohio, Molly Daniel, Mary Daniel, Dorothy Shackleford all from Wallins, KY, Melinda Lee Curtis from Maynardville , TN and a host of family and friends also survive.
Mercedes will be cremated and a private burial will be held at a later date.
