Robert Kenneth Cloud, 78 of Catrons Creek, passed away January 29, 2022 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born to the late Robert and Sarah Thacker Cloud on February 24, 1943. He was a one of a kind man. A Veteran, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Mr. Cloud is Proceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Sarah Cloud; Son, Johnny Ray Cloud; Stepchildren, Mark Woodard, Bill Woodard and Judy Hoskins; Sister, Patsy Doan; and A Nephew, Steven Woodard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Bonnie Cloud of Mary Alice; Daughter, Frankie Elaine Cloud; Stepchildren, Chuck Woodard, Dan Woodard, Deb Meadows (Gill), Jane Carmack, Heather Woodard (James) and Renee Freeman (Bryan), Shirley Laws; Sisters, Debbie (Dan) Woodard, Peggy and Joe Green, Brenda and David Smiddy and Judy and David Hensley; Brother, Gary Cloud; Grandchildren they raised as their own, Brady and Jazmine Woodard; Special Grandchildren, Courtney and Tyler Cozart and Sadie and Bella Woodard; Special Nephew, Chris Smiddy; Special Friend and Helper, James Whitaker; Grandchildren, Ethan Brock, Kendra Cloud, Shawnta Cloud, Mary Jo Shoemaker (Russell), Love Hobson (Brian); Great Grandchildren, Jaythen, Ryder and Byron White. Aunt, Nancy Brown; Nieces, Tina Doan Lowe (Jerome), Misty Doan Henderson (Antwan), She-ra Greene (Devon), Sherry Hensley, Robin Delph (Chris), Stephanie Greene (Chance); Nephews, David Smiddy Jr. (Nicky), Eric Greene (Hannah), Bryan Greene (Autumn) and David Hensley (Lisa); Robert and Bonnie have 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grand child; A host of nieces, nephews and friends who will also mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 2,2022 from 11AM to 1PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1PM also in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Cawood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, James Whitaker, Bryan Freeman, Rob Rowe and David Cottrell Jr. ; Honorary Pallbearers, Brady Woodard and Tyler Cozart.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mount Pleasant Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
