Robert Lee Morris

Robert Lee Morris, age 80, of Ages Brookside passed away May 26, 2014 at the Harlan ARH. He was born March 22, 1934 in Harlan Co., KY to the late Jess and Gladys Jo Shope Morris. He was a self-employed contractor and a member of the Pansy Baptist Church.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Adams, a son, Mark Anthony Morris, and brothers: Johnny Dale, Curtis Hugh, and William Clark “Bill” Morris and stepson, Tracy Rouse.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Louise Morris, Ages Brookside, KY; his children: Jessica Annette Hensley of Madison, VA, Connie Sue Wright of Madison, VA, Christopher Shane Morris of Orange Co., VA and Kenneth Brian Knighton of Orange Co., VA; sister, Jody Maynard of Gordonsville, VA; step children: Darrell Rouse of Bardo, KY, Violet Foley of Lexington, KY, and Jack Rouse of Bardo, KY; 4 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 6 to 9PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with a small service around 8PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Rev. Bobby Joe Rouse officiating. Burial will be Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Graham Cemetery, Orange Co., VA.
