Sarah Jean Hunley

Sarah Jean Hunley, age 66, of Rosspoint, KY passed away December 8, 2014 at her home. She was born August 31, 1948 at Black Mountain, KY to the late Buford Garmon and Jewell Davis. Sarah was an R.N. at the Harlan ARH for 38 years working in the obstetrics dept. She was a member and former president of the KY Nurses Association and the president of the local chapter of the nurse’s union.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, John B. Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Orby Hunley, Rosspoint, KY, son, Dr. Steve Hunley, of Pensacola, FL, grandchildren, Amber and Evan Hunley, brothers, Wayne (Pam) Garmon of Savannah, GA, Clint (Helen) Garmon, Summerville, SC, and John (Colleen) Davis, of Virginia Beach, VA, step-sister, Pam Collins of Middlesboro, KY.

Visitation will be Friday, December 12 from 6 to 9 at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Saturday, December 13 at 12PM at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY with the Reverends John and Claiborne Gibbons officiating. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
