Silven Boggs

Silven Boggs, age 75, of Loyall, KY passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at his home. He was born March 5, 1939 at Big Laurel, KY to the late Ray and Cindy Ellen Boggs. He was a heavy equipment operator and believed in the Holiness faith. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, George Boggs, Stanley Boggs and Danny Duff.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Boggs of Loyall, children: Debbie (Tim) Noe of Fresh Meadows, Judy (Tom, Jr.) Asher of Bledsoe, Mary (Arnold) Whitehead of Wallins, Ann (Felix) Roark of Wallins and Teresa Davis (who he thought of as a daughter) of Dayhoit; brothers, Bert Boggs of Middlesboro and Matthew Boggs of Bledsoe; sisters, Joyce Hiesel of Lexington, Emma Murphy of Sunshine, and Yvonne Thomas of Georgia; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January, 7 from 1 to 3PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
