Tony Lee Thomas, age 59, formerly of Chevrolet, KY, passed away March 20, 2016 in Tazewell, TN following a long illness. He was born November 18, 1956 in Harlan, KY to the late James and Katie Brock Thomas. He was a disabled coal miner.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, A.M. Brock and Ricky Thomas and sisters, Jewel Thomas and Teresa Allen.
He is survived by children, Tony Thomas and Michelle Thomas (Denny Winer), stepchildren, Naomi Johnson, Betty Brock, April Hickman, and Amos Brock, grandchildren, Corbin and Kendyl Byrd, Madison Reese, Harley and Mack Johnson, Brooklyn and Carson Middleton, Bridgette, Gunner, Gabriella Sargent, and Paislee Hickman, brothers, Harvey (Becky) Thomas, James (Sharon) Thomas, Kelsey (Debbie) Thomas, Johnny (Linda) Thomas, Nathaniel (Lynn) Thomas, and Glen Dale Thomas, sisters, Ruby Garcia, June (Jerry) Saylor, Darlene Brock, Clara Thomas, Mary Betram, Lisa Halcomb, and Joyce (Ramsey) Carroll, brother in law, Joel Allen and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23 from 4 to 7pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 7pm with Pastor Frank Howard officiating.
