Wilma Haley

Wilma Haley, age 89 of Teetersville passed away peacefully Monday December 2nd, 2019 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on May 28th, 1930 to the late Jack and Thelma Coburn of Harlan. She was a member of the Teetersville Baptist Church for many years. She volunteered at ARH hospital, and at the Christ’s Hands. She retired from the Harlan County Clerk’s Office.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Thelma Hawks Coburn, husband Elmo Haley, brothers: Jack Coburn and Bill Smith.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons: David Haley and wife Betty of Prestonsburg, Danny Haley of Teetersville; two grandsons: Alex Haley and wife Kelley of Pikeville, and Brandon Haley of Lexington; one great-grandson Sebastian Lemaster and wife Brooklyn of Paintsville; two great great grandsons Bryson Little and Waylon Lemaster; one sister-in-law Stevie Coburn, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday December 5th, 2019 from 6 to 9 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home in Harlan. Funeral service will be Friday December 6th, 2019 at 1 PM at Teetersville Baptist Church with Reverend Paul White officiating. Visitation will also be on Friday morning after 11 AM. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Alex Haley, Brandon Haley, Sebastian Lemaster, Frank Goshen, Thomas Heck, and Philip Collett serving as pallbearers. Donations can be made in her name to Teetersville Baptist Church.
