Barbara Boggs

November 25, 1941 — September 22, 2023

Loyall, Kentucky

Barbara Boggs, an exceptional homemaker, passed away on September 22, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. She was born on November 25, 1941, in Harlan, Kentucky, and spent her entire life spreading warmth to those around her and believed in the Christian faith.

Barbara was a beloved wife to Silven Boggs and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and compassion.

As a mother, Barbara exemplified what it meant to be nurturing and caring. She leaves behind a lineage of strong women who will carry on her legacy: daughters Debra Noe (and husband Tim), Judy Asher (and husband Tom), Mary Whitehead (and husband Arnold), and Ann Roark (and husband Felix), Teresa (and husband Robert Davis). Barbara's unconditional love shaped the lives of her daughters and they will forever be grateful for the guidance she provided.

Barbara was also blessed with the love of her siblings. Their bond brought about immeasurable joy throughout their lives. The laughter and treasured moments shared together will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Nothing made Barbara happier than being surrounded by her grandchildren. Timbo Noe (and wife Georgeann), Misty Hill (and husband Jason), Dusty Asher (and wife Jasmine), Dylan Asher, Dalton Asher (and wife Whitney), Kaylee Roark, Megan Runions, Derek Asher (and wife Samantha) were the lights of her life. Each grandchild brought such happiness to Barbara's heart as she watched them grow and flourish.

In addition to her loving grandchildren, Barbara delighted in being a great-grandmother. Eli Noe, Savannah Hill, Luke Hill, Hayden Smith, Lyndsey Asher, Caleb Asher, Riley Asher, Maci Asher, Aubree Asher, Kylee, Carter, Addi, Grayson, Liam, JJ, and Jaxon all held a special place in her heart. Barbara's love extended to the youngest members of her family, ensuring that they were always enveloped in her warmth.

Outside of her role as a homemaker, Barbara found solace in several hobbies. She had a passion for drawing, enjoyed the thrill of treasure hunting in yard sales and had a talent for sewing.

Family always remained at the center of Barbara's world. The cherished moments spent together and the traditions she upheld brought immeasurable joy to her life. Her role as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was not just a title but a testament to the depth of her love and dedication.
