Betty Allen

January 3, 1947 — January 25, 2021

Betty Allen peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2021. Betty was a lifelong resident of Cranks, KY. where she was happily married to her husband Leon for 54 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She had a servant’s heart and was a loyal member of Grays Knob Pentecostal Church. She lived a wonderfully fulfilled life and was a talented artist, gardener and musician.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Pauline Ledford, husband Leon and son Michael; brothers Earnest, Bob, Ray and Harold Ledford; sister Fannie Spurlock. She is survived by her son Ray (Pam) Allen of Alabama, Granddaughters Denise (Captain Matthew Millsaps) of Oklahoma, Darla (Andrew) Millsaps of Alaska, and three great granddaughters Priya, Enah and Rona Millsaps; siblings Frank and Ronnie Ledford, James and Dwayne Dockery, sister Helen King; and a host of nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life.
Betty’s enduring kindness will live in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be Friday January 29, 2021 from 11 to 1 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, Funeral service will follow at 1 PM., wth Brother Jerry Collins and Brother Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Allen Cemetery in Cranks, KY.
