Carl E. Stewart

June 10, 1954 — February 16, 2026

Carl had a familiar face around town; he enjoyed walking in the evening. Carl was a partial owner of the downtown "Pool Hall" in its heyday. He never passed up a chance for a great card or playing pool on his favorite - the snooker table. Whether playing cards or pool, he was where he wanted to be.

Carl was also a huge fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team - win or lose! Game days were his favorite.

Left to mourn Carl's passing are 3 incredibly special nieces. Rae Nagel & Megan Cavins, with who he always celebrated birthdays and holidays. Without fail, whatever he received for Christmas was what he wanted or needed. He and Rae going out weekly, shopping and eating... usually Dairy Hut, but on occasion she would get him to try something new from the Mexican. They also enjoyed a love of meatloaf and when out of town looked for the restaurants in Lexington, he always enjoyed Ramseys' his other special niece Katie Napier, faithfully checked on Carl and made  sure he always had what he needed. Carl loved her children, Karlee Hall; proudly his namesake, Mckayla Hall, Kenley Stewart and another great nephew, Sebastian Stewart.

Also, left to mourn his passing are a host of other family members and friends. A private celebration of life will take place, as he requested no funeral, but for his ashes to be buried under his favorite tree along with his lucky horseshoe ring that his mother gave him 52 years ago and a watch given to him by his favorite sister, Janice Stewart.
