Clark Williams, born on September 6, 1954, in Harlan, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence in Evarts, Kentucky, on August 8, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy shaped by his unwavering dedication to his family and his profession.

Mr. Williams was a distinguished coal miner, dedicating over 20 years of his life to his work with Arch Coal. His commitment to his career was matched only by his strong beliefs and values. A proud member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), he upheld the rights and dignity of his fellow workers throughout his career. A graduate of Evarts High School, he embodied the spirit of his community and carried it with him wherever he 

Mr. Williams was deeply rooted in his Baptist faith, which guided him throughout his life. He had a zest for life and a passion for travel, finding joy in new experiences and cherishing moments with loved ones.

He is survived by his sons, Matthew Williams and wife Stacey, Marc Williams; daughters, Amanda Williams, and partner JD Zunda, Michelle Williams, Martha Bennett and husband Adam, Nancy Truitt and husband Gary, Jessica Wynn and husband Tim; brothers, Dennis Williams and wife Vera, Castil Williams and wife Sharon; as well as 15 grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by his love and guidance. His circle of companionship extended to three very special friends, Crystal Keith, Brian Wilson, and Ben and Tina Zunda, alongside his beloved dog, Suzy, who shared 15 years of companionship with him.

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Castil Williams Sr. and Polly Hensley Williams; his beloved wife, Rosemary Hughes Williams; his daughter, Kasey Williams; sister, Charlotte Ivey; and granddaughter, Chloe Burkhart. Each of these individuals held a cherished place in his heart and their memories will live on through his family.

The impact of Clark Williams will be felt long after his passing, as his values and teachings will continue to guide and inspire those he loved.
