Della Hensley

Della Mae (Stewart) Hensley, age 86, of Smith, KY passed away on Wed, June 10, 2026 after a long illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who believed in the Holiness Faith.

She was born on August 16, 1939, to the late Bill and Birdie (Roark) Stewart. Preceding her in death was her husband, Fielding Hensley; sons Kenny Ray Hensley and Larry Wayne Hensley, granddaughter Jenni Brianne Baker, sisters; Oma, Anna, Bessie and Shirley; brothers; Marion, Pete, Joe and Otto Stewart.

Survivors include one son, Estes Lee Hensley, Smith, KY, three daughters, Barbara Baker (Clyde) Elizabethtown, KY, Lisa Baker (Robert) Dalton, GA, Marlena Goodin, Smith, KY, and one brother Jim Stewart, Pathfork, KY. Additionally, Della leaves behind several grandchildren, Margaret Hoskins, Jennifer Hensley, Lyndsey Baringhaus, Rachel Torstrick, Tara Casper, Seth Goodin, Natalie Baker, Andrew Brock and Tiffany Brock. Several great grandchildren also survive.

Della leaves other family and friends who will mourn her passing, including special family friends, Bobbie Jackson and Liz Smith, who always thought of her on holidays and throughout the year.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her healthcare team; Katie McIntyre from Horizons, Samatha Parker from Cumberland Valley Health, Kim Miller NP and team from Front Porch Medical and her Hospice nurse, Allie.

Visitation will be held at Faith Holiness Church, Smith, KY, on Saturday, June 13th from 12 to 2 P.M. with funeral to follow at 2 P.M. with Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating. Pallbearers include Larry Daniels and other family and friends.

Interment will be at the Hensley Cemetery, Smith, KY.
