Elvin Wilson

Elvin Wilson, age 65, of Bledsoe, Kentucky passed away April 17, 2026, at the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by family and friends. He was born December 27, 1960, in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Elza and Ellen Collins Wilson.

In his younger years, Elvin was known as “Hot Shot.” He was known for his sense of humor and lived a good life. Elvin loved his son and family. He was the youngest of seven children.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Coy Dean Wilson.

He is survived by his son, Elvin Daniel, brother, Morris B. Wilson and wife, Irma, sisters, Charlene Slone and husband, Fred, Geraldine Asher, and Francis Marlene Harris and husband, Jerry, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, April 20 from 5pm to 7pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. The funeral will immediately follow at 7pm in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Jerry Harris and Devin Daniels officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, April 21, at 12pm at the Robert Wilson Cemetery, Bledsoe with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center staff and Elvin’s many friends that he made there.
