Eva Angelique Hopkins, known affectionately as Angelique, 42, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. She cherished reading, writing, music, and motorcycles, and was known for her impressive headful of "useless" knowledge.
Angelique’s is survived by her father, Thomas M. Hopkins, and his wife, Lisa; her mother, Roxie Hopkins, and stepfather, Mark Sutton; and her devoted daughter, Serenity Brock. Angelique’s fiancé, David Rowlette, stood by her side through life’s journey, embodying steadfast support and love.
Her extended family included cherished grandparents, Martha and Tony Vaughn, known lovingly as Mamaw and Papaw. Angelique also had a special bond with her brother, Jerry Vaughn, and his wife, Beth. Her special aunt, Dee Browning, and uncle Don, along with aunts Faith VanOrden, Hope Skeens, and Angel Hale, were part of her close-knit family circle. She was fondly connected to uncles Billy Daniel and Ray Burke, as well as his wife, Wilma and Clyde Hopkins. Angelique had a connection to her special cousins Meiah Browning, Brandon Jackson, Hannah Vaughn and Sarah Vaughn, mike VanOrden, alongside numerous other family members and friends who held her in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Green and Eva Hensley, and Mae and Floyd Hopkins.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the funeral service following immediately after at 7:00 PM with the Don Browning officiating. Interment will take place the following day, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Clem-Hall Cemetery in Grays Knob, Kentucky with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
