Evelyn Rouse

Evelyn Rouse, 88, of Harlan, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Claiborne County Medical Center. She was born to the late Grover and Mary Frances Hill on January 14, 1930. Evelyn loved singing, quilting, playing piano, she volunteered at Hospitals and was a school teacher at Holy Trinity.
Ms. Rouse is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Orville “Jim” Rouse; Son, Jimmy Rouse; Great Grandson, Tommy Leslie; Brothers, Eugene Hill, Stanley Hill and Albert Hill; Sisters, Irene Hatmaker and Roberta Merritt.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Tye and Husband Mike, Frances Jane Rouse-Lane, Mark Rouse, Tim Rouse and Wife Karen and Nick Rouse; Grandchildren, Rhonda Leslie, Scott Rouse and Wife Lillie, Jimmy Rouse and Wife Misty, Eric Rouse, Christopher Kelly, David Tye and Wife Tracey, Kristy Rouse, Brittney Tye-Weaver and Husband Jason, Kendra Tye, Chelsea Lane and Timmy Rouse; Great Grandchildren, Danny Rouse and Wife Casey, Ashley Rouse, Kaylee Leslie, Tim Leslie, Jacee Rouse, Jimmy Rouse, Jovi Tye, Austin Tye and Christopher Rouse; Great Great Grandson, Leighton Leslie; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends also mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM with Funeral Services following at 7PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 1 PM at Resthaven Cemetery. If you would like to go in procession to the cemetery, the family will meet at the Funeral Home at 12:30 PM.
