Flossie Smith, age 56, of Evarts, KY passed away September 1, 2014 in Bell Co., KY due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born August 25, 1958 in Harlan, KY to the late Johnny and Snobia Jones Middleton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Fellowship Church of God, Putney, KY.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Snobia Jones Middleton; one sister, Dosha Wynn, three brothers: James Middleton, Jackie Middleton, and Henry Middleton; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Middleton and Julia Van Dyken; brothers-in-law, Noble Stewart and Earl McQueen; first husband, Stevie Lee Roark.

She is survived by her husband, Gill Smith, of Verda, KY, six children: Stephanie (Jonathan) Hall of Verda, KY, Kacey (Billy) Cochran of Lejunior, KY, Jessica Roark, Verda, KY, Kevin (Sierra) Roark, Verda, KY, Ashley Roark, Verda, KY, Robert (Briona) Smith, Verda, KY; 14 grandchildren who she cherished most of all: Aaron Mefford, A.J. Hall, Tyler and Eric Emery, Alyssa, Paula, Abby and Billy Cochran, Steven, Drake, Hunter, and Maverick Roark, Jayden and Jack Smith; brothers, Jerry (Susie) Middleton of Bailey’s Creek and Kerry (Sandy) Middleton of Washburn, TN; sisters, Annabelle McQueen of Ages and Jessie (Arnold) Perry of Tazewell, TN; father-in-law, Gill Smith, Sr., Loyall, KY; special mother-in-law, Joan Reeder; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Johnny) McMillan, Clinton, TN and Sharon Middleton; brothers-in-law, Johnny Reeder, Putney, KY, Jakie Smith, South Carolina, Mike Arvin, Tazewell, TN, Hayes Irvin, Jr., Evarts, KY, and Gill Smith, Jr., Harlan, KY; special nephew, Ricky (Kris) Barton, Verda, KY and a large host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 4 from 4PM to 9PM and Friday, September 5 from 12PM to 9PM at the Ages Church of God. Funeral will be Saturday, September 6 at 1PM at the Ages Church of God with the Rev. Tim Goshen officiating. Burial will be at Verda, KY at the family cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
