Geneva Williams

Geneva Williams, 65 of Harlan, passed away on January 18, 2026 at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington with family by her side. She was born to the late Clarence and Margie Thompson on February 18, 1960.

Ms. Williams is preceded in death by her Husband, Anthony Williams; Parents; Grandparents, John and Jane Thompson and Lucy and Alvis Miller; Brother, Teddy Thompson; Sister, Billie Thompson; Several Aunts and Uncles.

Geneva is survived by her loving Sons, David Thompson and Wife Norma of Greenville, TN and Rickey Griffey and Partner Clifton Prater (Her Beau) of Romulus, MI; Grandchildren, Isabella Elizabeth Griffey of Evarts, David Allen Thompson and Wife Jessica of Greenville, TN, Joshua Thompson of Greenville, TN and Natasha Dailey and Husband Donald of Georgetown; Great Grandchildren, Zachary Thompson and Zayden Thompson; Brothers and Sisters, Flora Thompson of Elcomb, Juanita McKenzie of Georgetown, Danny Thompson and Wife Martha of Bledsoe, Lloyd Thompson and Wife Carolyn of Harlan and Tommy Thompson and Wife Mary of Rogersville, TN; Special Niece and Nephew, Renee Romero and Husband Paco of Georgetown and Chris and Charlene Collins of Harlan; Special Friends, Ronald “Buttons” Hensley and Patricia Cody; Mother and Father In Law, Jet and Ken Jewell. Several Nieces and Nephews, Family and Friends will also mourn her passing.

Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2026 from 5PM to 8PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 1PM also in the Chapel with Reverand Denver Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers.
