George Boggs

George Boggs, age 84, of Harlan, KY passed away July 23, 2014 at the Tri-Cities Nursing Home following a brief illness. He was born February 3, 1930 at Pine Mountain, KY to the late Ray and Cindy Ellen Turner Boggs. He was a retired heavy equipment operator in the coal industry and believed in the Holiness faith.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Etta Belle Huff Boggs of Harlan, KY; children: James Matt (Joanne) Boggs of Bledsoe, KY, Mike (Marie) Boggs of Bledsoe, KY, and Kay (Annamalai) Moore of Alexandria, MN; brothers Silvan Boggs of Harlan, Matthew Boggs of Bledsoe, and Bert Boggs of Middlesboro; sisters Joyce of Lexington, Emma of Harlan, and Yvonne of Georgia; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of family and special friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 26 from 5 to 8PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. A private burial service will be at the Huff Cemetery, Bledsoe, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
