Jerry Clayborn

March 3, 1962 — July 2, 2021

Jerry Clayborn, 59 of Cranks KY, passed away on July 2nd, 2021 while sleeping at his home. Jerry was preceded in his passing by his father and mother, Ralph Clayborn and Pauline (Woodard) Clayborn, his brothers Marvin and James Clayborn. His special uncle Clyde Clayborn. And his father and mother-in-law, Dan and Wilma Garrett. And his friend LJ Farmer.

Jerry was born in Harlan, KY on 3/3/1962. He was a disabled coal miner who loved hunting both wildlife and looking for old artifacts in the mountains of Harlan County. Jerry cared about his wife, children and grandchildren very much and he would do anything to make sure they had what they needed.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Donna Kay (Garrett) Clayborn and his four sons Paul Clayborn and wife Jamie of Georgetown, KY. Ralph Clayborn of Cranks, KY. Jerry Clayborn of Cranks, KY and his girlfriend Kayla Cornett of Cumberland, KY. And Jesse Clayborn of Cranks KY. His brothers Ronnie Clayborn of Cranks, KY and Gary Colgrove and wife Ida. His sister Marlean of Wallins, Ky. Also, Jerry is survived by his two nieces Tonya Roberts and Marsha Powers. And his three special granddaughters, Caitlyn who he loved like his own child and Jailey and Ally Clayborn. And his close friends Don and Rebecca Grubbs of Cranks, KY. Along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, July 5, 2021 from 12PM to 2PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2PM. Burial will be at Day Jackson Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers.
