Larry Patton “LP” Eldridge, 76, passed away April 4, 2026, at his home at Smith, Kentucky. He was born March 3, 1950 in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Carl and America Eldridge. LP was a coal miner and enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by sons, Allen Eldridge and wife, Paula, William Eldridge and companion, Maria; daughters, Shirley Ann Jones, Jessica Collins and husband, Jerry, and Samantha Elza; grandchildren, Tiffany, Cheyann, Gracie, Brent, Trent, Jacob, Rayleighn, and Bradley Eldridge, Matthew Oakes, and Bobbie Johnson; brother, Robert Eldridge, and sister, Shirley Eldridge.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 9, from 2pm to 4pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Memorial Service will follow at 4pm in the chapel of Mount Pleasant with Clarence Ramsey officiating.
Mount Pleasant is honored to be serving the Eldridge family.
