Lillie Daniels, 79 of Smith, passed away after a long battle with cancer on October 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Rev. Patton and Nancy Hensley Long on August 8, 1943. She believed in the Holiness Faith.
Lillie was the Matriarch of her family. A Mother and “Mamaw” to many. She loved preparing Sunday Dinner for family and friends, feeding multitudes over the years. She enjoyed gardening, canning and her “Critters”.
Ms. Daniels is preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Hensley Long and Rev. Patton Long; Husband, Frank Daniels; Eight Brothers, Joe, Aaron, Henry, Daniel, Alfred, James, Roy and Millard; Five Sisters, Fannie Bowman, Lucille Hamlin, Merica Eldridge, Ella Smith and Betty Weaver.
Lillie is survived by her Son, Jamie Daniels and Wife Serena of Harlan; Daughter, Bonnie Daniels Fultz of Pennington Gap, VA; Rhonda Long - Robinson and Husband Dave and Carolyn Daniel who were like her daughters ; Sisters, Deloris Russell of Tennessee and Oma Maxwell and Husband Terry of Virginia Beach; Brother, Barney Long of Tennessee; Grandchildren, Jennifer Smith and Husband Harry, Joseph Fultz and Wife Stephanie, Jace Daniels, Sydney and Hannah, James Henry Long; Great Grandchildren, Lee Smith, Ashley Smith, Madelyn Lillie Grace Fultz and Thomas Franklin Daniel Fultz; She was a Mamaw to many, Sydney Cupp, Ralph, Josh, Mikey, Anna Hamlin, Valerie, Brooke, Kevin, Justin Long and Kendra and Anthony Wolfe; Several Nieces and Nephews, Family and Friends also mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Saturday in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home from 5PM to 8PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 1PM at Faith Holiness Church in Smith with Spencer Burkhart, Doug Daniel and Perry Long officiating. Burial will follow at Hensley Cemetery in Smith with James Henry Long, Joseph Fultz, Jace Daniels, Josh Hamlin, Justin Long, Anthony Wolfe and Dave Robinson serving as pallbearers.
