Loren Elmer Howard

Loren “Elmer” Howard, age 82 of Baxter passed away peacefully on September 14, 2020 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born October 1, 1937 to the late Lloyd and Rosa Howard. He retired from Appalachian Regional Hospital after 23 years of service. He was a Godly man and attended Cornerstone Community Church in Baxter. He was well loved by everyone.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Lloyd Howard and Rosa Vanover Howard, Ten brothers and sisters and a great grandchild.
Elmer leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Anna Howard of 58 years, Sons; Loren Elmer Howard Jr. and wife Donna of Morristown, TN, Charles Howard and Greta Ball of Baxter, J.B. Howard of Baxter, John Howard of Baxter, eight grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, Brother; Grant and wife Beulah Howard and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday September 17, 2020 from 4 to 6 PM at Cornerstone Community Church. Funeral service will begin at 6 PM with Reverend Jeff Mills officiating. Burial will be Friday September 18, 2020 at 12 pm at Howard family cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
