Loretta Day Bailey, age 94 of Putney, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 23, 2018. She was born February 23, 1924 to the late Stokley Day and Stella McCoy. Loretta was a devoted wife and mother and a member of Coxton Full Gospel Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ellison Bailey, son’s Ellison Jr and Randall and a daughter Evelyn, her mother Stella McCoy, Father Stokley Day, sister’s Loraine and June and a brother, Jr. step children: Andrew, Gertrude and Della.
She is survived by a sister Audrey of Jeffersonville, Illinois, Children Stella Mastin and husband Jim of Norwood, Ohio, Spencer and wife Beverly of Jamestown, TN, Shelia Dixon and husband James of Baxter, KY, Elwood and wife Laura of Wallins, Winston and wife Verna of Evarts, Wynona Spadaro and husband Dan of Little Rock, AR, Darlene and husband Elvis Saylor of Cincinnati, OH, stepchildren; Gladys, Gene and Nancy, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Loretta was most honored by her devoted loving daughter; Shelia Dixon, who has lovingly cared for her mother for many years.
Visitation will be Tuesday November 27, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 7PM with the Reverends Kelles Greer and Neil Kelly officiating. Special mustic by her son in law James Dixon Interment will be Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 1PM in Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY, those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery, please be at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home at 12:15 PM. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
