Mike Shackleford

Mike Shackleford, 69 of Wallins, passed away on January 2, 2026 with his loving family by his side. He was born to the late Nathan and Sudie Morgan Shackleford on November 30, 1956.

Mike married the love of his Life, Dorothy Daniel Shackleford on July 20, 1976. He was a loyal employee for Nally & Hamilton for over 32 years, where he became good friends with a special boss, Stephen Hamilton. He was a Surface Miner and Foreman during his time there and enjoyed his job to the fullest. Mike liked to spend his time piddling on his tractors, Deep Sea Fishing, Lake/River Fishing and spending time with his Wife and Son.

Mr. Shackleford is preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers, Danny Shackleford, David Shackleford and Jimmy Shackleford.

Mike is survived by his Loving Wife of 49 years, Dorothy Shackleford; Son, Roy Shackleford; Brother, Nathaniel Shackleford; Sisters, Geneva Johnson, Phemia Williams, Lydia Young and Karen Williams; Special Friend, Glen Curry who he has been friends with for many years.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 5PM to 8PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8PM with Michael Daukas and Buddy Simpson officiating.
