Niokie Roark

Niokie Roark, age 78, of Pathfork passed away October 1, 2026, at The Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 15, 1948 to the late James and Bessie Craig Howard. She worked as a head start aid in the school system, worked at the nursing home, and was a homemaker.

Also preceding her in death is her husband, Manford Roark Sr; an infant daughter; brother, Clyde Howard; and sisters, Geraldine Howard, and Jean Howard.

She is survived by her sons, Darryl Roark, Donnie Roark, and Manford Roark Jr (Sandra); brothers, John Howard of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Lewis Howard of Denton, Texas; sisters, Linda Brocket of Denton, Texas, and Cindy Howard of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Zaina Roark, and Wyatt Roark; as well as a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the Blackstar Pentecostal Church in Pathfork, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held the same day at 1:00 PM with Pastor James Earl Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at the Saylor Cemetery in Pathfork, Kentucky with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
