Phyllis A. Farmer, age 64 of Dayton, reunited with her husband Franklin Farmer on January 30, 2015. She was born July 11, 1950 in Harlan, KY to the late George and Lela (Longworth) Golden. In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her infant son, George Glenn Farmer and aunt, Muriel Longworth-Chadwick.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Phyllis was an avid bowler and U.K. fan, just like her husband. She was a strong believer in the Baptist faith.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Stamper and her husband, Michael of Dayton, OH.; 2 brothers, Kenneth Golden of Dayton, OH and Melvin Golden and his wife, Cynthia of Jonesboro, TN; 2 sisters-in-law, Nancy Roberts of Loyall, KY and Bonnie Hoskins of Harlan, KY; nephews, Kenneth Golden, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer Golden, Melvin Arthur Golden, II and his wife, Tracy Golden and Terry Golden and his wife, Ashley Golden; nieces, Jonesta Richardson and husband, Norman and Jonalyn Chumley; 3 very special friends, Erica Woodburn, Glenda Stuart and Jessica Galaviz; several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, uncles, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February, 6 from 5 to 8PM at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, Harlan, KY. Funeral will be Saturday, February 7 at 11AM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery, Keith, KY with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
