Ruth Thornsberry Honeycutt

Ruth Thornsberry Honeycutt, 96, of Harlan, KY went to be with her Savior on May 28, 2025.She was born on October 10, 1928, in Floyd County, KY to Charlie and Hazel Slone Daniels.

She worked at many different locations and states during her lifetime, but her favorite was in Cardiology at UK Medical Center where she was excited about learning the hearts functions and helping many people. She loved the Lord more than anything and loved talking about Him to everyone she met. She made friends so easily and never saw a stranger. She enjoyed church and attended every service as long as her health permitted. Her granddaughter summed it up: "Mamaw was the perfect example of beauty on the inside and outside". Heaven has gained a wonderful and beautiful Lady who always looked forward to seeing Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Thornsberry and Clayton Honeycutt, brothers, Douglas Daniels, Bill Daniels, Raymond Daniels, Allen Daniels and sister, Ruby Daniels.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Patricia (Wayne) Curry, two special grandchildren, Mary-Ruth (Michael) Shepherd of Richmond, KY; Robby Curry Sr of Harlan, Ky and a very special great-grandson, Robby Curry II/ Also mourning her passing is longtime friend and sister-in-law, Boots Daniels of Waverly, Ohio.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home from 12 PM until 2 PM with the funeral to follow at 2 PM with the Reverends Jim Johnson and Wayne curry officiating. Interment will follow at the park Howard Cemetery in Wallins, Ky with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
