Susan Nolan, a longtime member of the Bledsoe community, born on October 17, 1954, in Leslie County, Kentucky, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. A devoted homemaker, Susan was the heart and soul of her family, known for her unwavering dedication, hard work, and boundless love.
Susan’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of love she shared with those closest to her. She was a good mom who nurtured her children with kindness and strength, always putting their needs above her own. Her cooking was legendary among those fortunate enough to taste it, which was made with love and dedication. Susan’s passion for flowers illuminated her life and home, creating an atmosphere of beauty and warmth that reflected her genuine spirit.
She cherished deeply her grandchildren, filling their lives with joy and affection, and she was equally devoted to her beloved four-legged baby, Dolly, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship. Her love extended warmly to her special companion, Leslie “Junior” Whitehead.
Susan is lovingly remembered by her son, Billy Nantz and wife, LeAnn; her daughter, Crystal Nolan Flannery and husband, Dennis; her mother, Goldie Brock, her brothers, Eliza Nantz, Gary Nantz, and Jackie Nantz; and her grandchildren, Mayla Nantz and Anna Nantz. She also leaves behind step-grandchildren Alissa Butler, Andrew Whitehead, and Riley Osborne, as well as 11 great-grandchildren whose lives she touched profoundly. Her circle of love includes numerous nieces, nephews, cherished family members, and beloved friends who will forever hold her memory close.
Susan’s journey in this world was preceded by those she held dear yet now rests in eternal peace: her father, L. Robert Nantz; her husband, Dillard Nolan; and her brothers, Jimmy Nantz and Randall Nantz.
Visitation will be held on April 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Upper Beech Fork Methodist Church in Helton, KY. Her funeral service will follow on April 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, with the Reverends, Bud Brock and Teddy Brock officiating. Interment will follow in the Nolan Cemetery at Bledsoe, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
