Terry Lee Saylor, 67, of Cawood, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord early Friday morning, November 14, 2025. Terry was born in Germany to Harold T. and Curleen Saylor on March 22, 1958. A retired surface miner, Terry cherished his profession and the important time he dedicated to an industry integral to the Appalachian community.

Terry was blessed in this life to be surrounded by family members who he loved so dearly: His loving wife of 35 years, Linda Saylor. Brother, Tommy Saylor. Nephew Thomas Saylor. Four children, Melinda A. Clem, Kimberly Noe (Joe), Kenny Clem (Amy), and Ryan Clem (Brooke). Grandchildren, Devin Daniels (Hanna), Bella Wilson, Gabriel and Stella Clem. Great grandchildren Liam and Ledger Wilson and Naomi and Layne Daniels. 

A man of deep Christian faith, Terry dedicated his life to serving the Lord and found joy in mentoring others in their spiritual journey. One of Terry’s greatest passions was weightlifting, and he was well-known in the community for his strong work ethic—both in his profession and in the gym. He was a beloved mentor to young men, guiding them toward strength, discipline, and spiritual growth. Terry’s love and dedication for weightlifting was also a strong testament to his undeniable dedication to the Lord.

Family will receive friends at the Friendship Baptist church on Monday, November 17th, 2025, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral services for Mr. Saylor will be held on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at the church at 3:00PM with the Reverend Gary Craig officiating. Interment will follow in the Fields Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Saylor include: Ryan Clem, Kenny Clem, Gabriel Clem, Kevin Harris, Mack Vanover, Joe Ball, Matthew Sutton, Devin Bennett, Charlie Rhymer, Eric Arvin.
