Thelma Leath

Thelma Leath, age 90 of Harlan passed away peacefully on Monday September 9, 2019 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born December 18, 1928 in Lafollette, TN to the late Jim and Sierra Comer. At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of the New Beginnings Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her father Jim Comer, mother Sierra St.John Comer, husband Johnie Leath, and a son Paul Edward Leath.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters Wilma Long and husband Donahue of Harlan, Wanda Morton of Marietta, GA, Grandchildren Michael Long, Bridget Long and Brian Leath, and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday September 12, 2019, from 5 to 7 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, Funeral Service will follow at 7 PM with Pastor Jerry Kinney officiating. Interment will be Friday September 13, 2019 at 10 AM Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
